The Matching Process
- Fill out the online Little Application, or call our office to have them mailed or faxed to you.
- There is no guarantee your child will be matched. We cannot predict how soon we can match a child because we are a volunteer-driven agency; if we do not have a volunteer who is compatible, it is more difficult for us to match the child.
- We do not match on a first-come, first-served basis. We match according to a child's compatibility with a volunteer. Compatibility includes parent and child preferences for a volunteer, as well as a volunteer's preferences such as driving distance, similar interests and personalities.
- Our Case Management staff will contact the parent when we have a potential match to discuss the volunteer. If you and your child accept the volunteer, an official match meeting is scheduled at our office with the volunteer and Case Management staff to discuss expectations and goals.
